General Questions
Yes, there is plenty of free on-street parking directly outside the clinic on Derby Road. In the unlikely event that spaces are unavailable, additional free residential parking can be found just a short walk further along the road towards Osprey Avenue.
No, you do not need a doctor's referral to book an appointment at The Body Base Clinic. Simply choose the service that best suits your needs online, and our experienced practitioners will carry out a thorough assessment, provide a diagnosis where appropriate, and create a personalised treatment plan tailored to your goals.
We recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing to your appointment, as your practitioner may need access to the area being assessed or treated. If this isn't possible, you're welcome to bring a change of clothes to ensure you're comfortable during your appointment.
We accept all major debit and credit cards, including contactless payments and Amex.
We kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment, or failure to attend, will incur a 100% cancellation fee, as this appointment time has been reserved specifically for you. Our full cancellation policy can be found here.

FAQ
Physiotherapy | Osteopathy | Massage Therapy
No, you do not need a referral to book a medical aesthetics consultation. However, you must be 18 years or older, and all clients undergo a comprehensive consultation and medical screening to ensure the treatment is safe and appropriate for them. For prescription-only treatments, such as anti-wrinkle injections, you will also be assessed by a qualified prescribing clinician before any treatment can be carried out, in line with UK regulations.
That's absolutely fine. If you're unsure which treatment is best suited to your needs, our practitioners can advise you during your consultation and recommend the most appropriate options based on your goals. Alternatively, feel free to contact us by email before booking, and our team will be happy to guide you in the right direction.
The number of treatments required varies from person to person and depends on several factors, including your skin type, individual concerns, desired results, and treatment goals. During your consultation, our practitioner will assess your needs and create a personalised treatment plan, including recommendations on the most suitable treatments and expected outcomes.
No. We do not offer medical aesthetics treatments to clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding. This is a precautionary measure to prioritise your safety and wellbeing, as there is limited clinical evidence regarding the safety of aesthetic treatments during these periods. We would be happy to discuss suitable options once you have finished breastfeeding.
